A Fritz Tiny Home in Maine

A tiny home getaway by the ocean…

We had the immense pleasure of flying to Maine to greet and install a Halcyon 2 Fritz Tiny Home in its new oceanfront location. This trip was extra special for us because we took our 4 kids and shared this place and the traditions that were so formative for Heather, who spent her childhood summers in Maine. Our summer getaway included fishing in the ponds, exploring beaches and discovering lighthouses. I don’t think the kids stayed out of the water long enough for their bathing suits to dry!

It truly was a bucket-list experience for us to place a tiny home in Maine. And it was no small undertaking. The new tiny home is located oceanfront in a remote and devastatingly beautiful landscape, in the middle of mossy forests and rugged surroundings. The epic property includes a very steep drop right into the ocean which presented enormous challenges that required a lot of creative problem solving and the help of heavy machinery. But honestly, we are so energized by a challenge like this and think it’s a reflection of our clients dreaming big and deciding how they want to live. They want to live with this exact ocean view, and we were determined to make it work. Truly, where there’s a will…there’s a way.

The results were absolutely all we could have hoped for. This Halcyon 2 is a summer getaway home for a family of 4. We customized this model with full glass to maximize the incredible ocean view. It has a walnut and white oak interior for an elevated and beautiful feel. We added an extra window in the shower to bring in light and celebrate the privacy this property affords. This model also has a full master bedroom and an integrated panel fridge. This tiny home also has a Fritz Fold wall, which is a custom design we worked on with LUX Architectural Products https://luxarpro.com/ (who now offer the Fritz Fold as a product - so cool!). This low profile folded wall elevates the exterior of the tiny home, which is Lux black snap lock, black 4" V groove and redwood folded wall (wood printed metal siding). It looks fantastic and we know our clients will build lifelong memories in their Fritz Tiny Home.

This trip was a culmination of one of our primary purposes…helping our clients make their tiny home dreams a reality. The trip was satisfying in so many important ways for us: the sense of accomplishment in overcoming challenges and obstacles through hard work, ingenuity, and stubbornness, the beautiful relaxation and new experiences and memories created with our family, and working together with our clients to see their vision come together. If you want to chat about your tiny home dreams…contact us anytime at info@fritztinyhomes.ca.
