Featured on Live Big in a Tiny House — Caitlin, Adam & Baby Dell's Halcyon 02 Story
We are so honoured.
Bryce and Rasa of Live Big in a Tiny House — a YouTube channel with 4.78 million followers dedicated to the very best of tiny home living, alternative dwellings, and stories of people choosing to live more minimally — recently featured one of our most special projects: Caitlin and Adam's Halcyon 02, now home to their growing family, including their daughter Dell.
Watching this episode reminded us, deeply, of why we do this work.
A Home Built Around Their Life
From the very beginning, Caitlin and Adam knew exactly how they wanted to live — connected to land, close to family, and with a home that reflected the things they love most. Our job was to listen, and then build.
We brought as much walnut into this home as we possibly could. You'll see it throughout the video — warm, rich, and woven into nearly every detail. We designed custom storage for their record player, and special shelving for their coffee and cocktail glasses — because a home that's truly yours holds the things that are truly you.
In the back flex room of the Halcyon 02, we built out a custom desk with integrated bookshelves — a Library. It is a beautiful, functional workspace that has since become Dell's nursery. It's one of our favourite things about this build: the way a thoughtfully designed space can grow and shift with the life being lived inside it.
We also added a trundle bed beneath the couch to bring sleeping space for guests without giving up a single square foot of daily living. And one of our personal favourite details — a pass-through kitchen window that opens right onto the outdoor deck, turning the kitchen counter into a serving space for the outdoors. It blurs the line between inside and out in a beautiful way.
They Made It Their Own
After moving in, Caitlin and Adam built their own deck and outdoor living space — and it adds so much. More room to gather, more room to breathe, more connection to the land they chose. We love seeing clients take a Fritz home and put their own fingerprints all over it. That's what a home is supposed to be.
This Is the Heart of What We Do
Being able to share a project like this — not at delivery, but after our clients have settled in, made it their own, and truly made it a home — is everything. We hope Caitlin and Adam's story is inspiring to the life you could create too.
As mentioned in the video, Caitlin and Adam have loved this home so well — but as their family grows, so have their housing needs. The Halcyon 02 is now available. If you'd like more information or can picture yourself in this home, we'd love to hear from you.
