Fritz Tiny Homes Named Business of the Year in Devon, Alberta

People who believe in thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and community understand something important: great things are never built alone.

That’s why we are incredibly grateful to share that Fritz Tiny Homes has been named Business of the Year for 2026 by the Devon & District Chamber of Commerce in Devon. The evening celebrated the many businesses in our community that show up every day with passion, resilience, and vision. It was an honour to be in a room full of people who believe in building something meaningful.

Building in a Challenging Industry

The past few years have been challenging for many businesses in construction and housing. Economic uncertainty, rising costs, supply chain disruptions, and regulatory barriers have made it increasingly difficult for small builders to innovate and grow. Yet the need for creative housing solutions, sustainable building practices, and thoughtful design has never been greater.

At Fritz Tiny Homes, we see these challenges as opportunities to push the industry forward. Innovation isn’t just something we talk about—it shapes how we design, engineer, and build every home. Our mission has always been simple: To create some of the most refined, climate-resilient small homes in North America.

By combining architectural design, advanced building science, and Canadian craftsmanship, our team continues to push the boundaries of what small-space living can be. The Business of the Year award recognizes not just our work—but the incredible team behind it.

Over the past year, our team took several major steps toward that vision:

Innovation in design
A fully off-grid luxury tiny home was delivered to a remote mountaintop in California—one of our most technically challenging installations to date.

Design leadership
We launched our sixth tiny home model, the Halcyon Grand, designed to deliver a true two-bedroom tiny home experience without sacrificing comfort or beauty.

Expanding wellness and housing solutions
We introduced two new divisions:
Fritz Sauna — bringing architectural design into wellness spaces
Fritz Modular — homes designed for permanent foundations and broader housing accessibility

Our first modular project was completed in Bozeman, marking an exciting expansion for our company.

Your support—whether through sharing our work, visiting our shop, or trusting us to build your home—has played a role in this milestone.

Without innovation and collaboration, the housing industry risks becoming stagnant. Small homes, modular housing, and thoughtful design solutions are essential as communities rethink how people live, build, and care for the environment. At Fritz Tiny Homes, we believe the future of housing depends on builders who are willing to challenge the status quo.
Winning Business of the Year is a tremendous honour. But more than anything, it reflects the people who make this journey possible—our team, our clients, and the community that supports us.

In just five years, Fritz Tiny Homes has grown from a small local builder to a company delivering homes across North America.

Yet our focus remains the same: Designing and building homes that are intentional, resilient, and beautiful.

We’re incredibly grateful to be building that future together.
